Gladiator to me is one of the greatest films of all time, as it gives us a view of how Rome was back in it's time, and how similar it is to today. Here are a list of some inspirational quotations from the movie:
- Maximus - At my signal...unleash Hell. (His dogs name was Hell, and would be unleashed at the beginning of the movie alongside the charging army)
- Proximo - You are good, Spaniard. But not that good. You could be magnificent.
Maximus: I am required to kill, so I kill. That is enough.

- Maximus - A soldier has the advantage of being able to look his enemy in the eye, senator.
